Strength For Life is an evidence-based progressive strength and exercise program designed specifically for people over 50. The program is aimed at reducing the incidence of falls, improving health and well-being, and increasing independence.
The Strength For Life program has a tiered system that allows participants to find the right provider based on their health and fitness needs.
Tier 1 Providers are Accredited Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists who work directly with people who have chronic illness or rehabilitation requirements. These providers have the expertise to design and deliver a safe and effective exercise program for people with specific health needs.
Tier 2 Providers are accredited fitness professionals who have also completed the compulsory Strength For Life Instructor Training Courses. These providers are qualified to deliver a general strength and exercise program for people over 50.
To participate in the Strength For Life program, you will need a GP referral. You can find a referral template below.
Once you have a referral, you can contact us to schedule an assessment. During the assessment, we will assess your health and fitness level and develop a personalised exercise program for you.
The Strength For Life program is a safe and effective way to improve your health and well-being as you age.
